Tidewater-Deviants is up and running!
If you're here, then you're wondering what this group is all about. Well, it's about a few things: Deviants, art, and of course the Tidewater area of Virginia. Those are the main focal points of the group, though not the full scope of its existence.
As for why I founded such a group in the first place, well, here's a bit of background:
I currently reside in Newport News, but prior to September 2009 I lived in Arlington, just outside of Washington, D.C. I participated in ~
CAPITOL-DEVIANTS, which was a ton of fun even though it was sometimes hard to get people together for meets. Aside from getting together, though, it was a chance to talk with and enjoy the artistic side of a variety of different folks from the area. It was as much a learning experience for me as it was a social one.
When I moved down to Newport News, I took a hiatus of sorts from dA, and focused on getting my life settled in my new home. After a while though, I missed having the experience that I had with ~
CAPITOL-DEVIANTS, and I decided I would see if I could get folks down here interested in something similar. I missed having good times with friends who shared a common interest: art.
And so here I am, forging bravely ahead into the realm of the new dA groups creator, to see if maybe we can get a good thing going.
